Are You the Next HPI Team Member? 

 HPI has grown continuously since our founding in September 2006. The HPI client community grows through word of mouth and clients that continue to re-engage with us over the years. As we look to the next five years and beyond, we expect continued growth with healthcare organizations engaging HPI to guide them in “first generation” safety and reliability culture improvement as well as organizations taking it to the next level with innovative “second generation” reliability methods.

As our service to the healthcare industry increases, we are growing our HPI consulting team. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Background and experience that complement our team. Specifically, we are targeting individuals with experience in high-consequence, high-reliability industries such as power operations or manufacturing; backgrounds in human factors engineering or organizational development; or experience in implementing high-reliability principles in the healthcare industry.
• Experience and expertise in coaching individuals of different professions and levels of responsibility. Consulting and coaching with HPI requires working with front line staff, medical staff members, operational leaders, senior leaders, and board members – sometimes all in one day.
• Translational thinking and innovation skills. In our day-to-day work and in our company development efforts, HPI team members are experts in communicating high-reliability principles in a way that spurs an “ah ha” response. They also have the ability to evolve existing concepts while developing, testing, and refining new ideas.
• Inquisitive, eager, and self-motivated in learning. HPI team members do not require prompting or prodding in learning. In orientation and beyond, we value the intrinsic desire to learn and apply knowledge.

 And, of course, some of the basics:

• Highest quality of spoken communication and presentation as well as written and creative materials.
• Professional in all interactions with energy and passion in demeanor.
